Cress Heads

We thought that making Cress Heads would be a good way to complete the “grow cress on a windowsill” task. So let me introduce our creations - Gromulus is the angry looking green goblin thing (mine) and Harold is the smirking French Cheetah-man (Tess’s).
Vegetable seeds

The seeds arrived today. We will be trying to grow asparagus, lettuce, baby carrots, courgettes, cauliflower, peppers, chilli peppers and red onions. Not sure if any will survive though!
Growing veg and cress

A couple of the tasks in the 33 things list involves growing vegetables and water cress. We don’t have a garden here in London, only a paved court yard. So I asked the knowledge man of all things garden – my dad – for some tips. He said:

And they also made the most of the situation - demanding a spoon be brought up to them, extra cups of tea, and an additional piece of toast with marmalade on. At one point my Mum was communicating to me that they wanted something by banging on the wall upstairs!
